Find your narrative voice
To start, upload one of your own texts or a passage from your favourite author: we’ll analyse the writing style and use it as a guide to shape your novel.
One step at a time, one paragraph after another
Tell it what happens, or what your protagonist does, and the story moves in that direction — it doesn’t follow a script decided in advance. At every step, the AI proposes a few different alternatives to choose from, or you can write the text yourself, in your own words.
The Beacon: your story’s compass
At the start of the novel, we define the Beacon together — the direction and tone of your story. It isn’t a cage: your narrative stays free to surprise you, but it never loses its course.
Nothing gets lost along the way
Character, object and location sheets update themselves as you write. Open plot threads always stay in view, so no narrative thread ever gets forgotten.
Complete a manuscript
You can also upload your own unfinished draft: we’ll pick up the story exactly where you left it, respecting the plot and style you’ve already set, so you can keep writing together all the way to the last page.
Multi-author writing
Share a link with anyone you like: they’ll be able to follow your novel live, vote on the alternatives for how the story continues, and chat with you in real time, until you end the session.

Chapters and formattable text, a cover description ready to generate, layout, synopsis and format. Export to txt, html, epub, pdf or docx whenever you like, so you can print and sell your work directly on whichever external channels you prefer.
In your language, in your voice
The interface is available in 11 languages — but you write your novel in whichever language you choose, regardless of the interface language. Every section can also be read aloud.

Full control over your published books

You decide the cover price of the books you publish on CiaoNovel Reader, even free if you prefer, and you can withdraw them from sale at any time. To guarantee a pleasant reading experience, readers who have already bought or downloaded a book can keep reading it for a further 60 days after withdrawal. 

Once published, books stay on sale indefinitely even if your subscription has expired, letting you keep earning from your work (you can still remove them from the Showcase at any time if you want).

Copyright always stays yours, and you’re free to publish your work on other platforms too.
